good things

hooray! i got a job!

yesterday i got a call from this lovely company, offering me a position in their marketing and PR department. they produce all sorts of scrapbooking and paper supplies and i am SO excited. it's right up my paper alley! :) i start next week.

also, with all my down time, i've been thinking up new ideas and opportunities for all my crafting. we spent a lot of time our first week here at a little coffee shop in provo, utah, utilizing the free wi fi while we waited for our apartment to get internet capabilities. they sell all sorts of treats and little things, so i started thinking "hey, why not sell my cards?"

as of yesterday, some of my handmade cards are available at the coffee pod in provo. yay! stop by to check them out.

i put together a little basket with my offerings...we're starting small, to see if anyone wants to buy them. i made a bunch of cupcake- and coffee-themed cards as those are the main products of the shop. i hope people like them!

and, last but not least, i've been doing a bunch of sewing machine /paper hybrid creations. first up were a few quilted notecards:

and then i added a little stitching to some business cards. i tucked these in the back of the basket as contact cards to go with my notecards:

i am loving this whole sewing/paper combo! so fun.
