craft lake city + isabell's umbrella
saturday i went to craft lake city in downtown salt lake. it was a fun event -- cool bands, tons of booths and a good turnout. i must say i wasn't toootally impressed with the array of handmade items -- but maybe that's just because there were only a handful of paper-related booths, and we know i'm kind of a paper-favoring snob :)
i did, however, learn about a great new stationery company called isabells umbrella. ashley, the creator of the etsy shop, designs all the little illustrations herself -- look at this cute panda. it says "hugs & bamboo" at the bottom:
i loved browsing the booth and checking out all the different illustrations. the cards are so simple and crisp:
the isabell's umbrella etsy shop also features some gocco-printed cards, magnets, and envelope labels among other things. check out the sale items for an extra treat -- seriously, these little illustrations are adorable. and visit ashley's blog for even more updates.
also at craft lake city, i ran into a few blogger friends [melissa from is-ly and marie from make and takes] AND got to test out the new yudu machine by screenprinting my own unicorn bag. made me feel almost as cool as the people who got to do the same thing at blogher with design mom.

hooray for craft fairs!
