paper snowflakes

it is still freezing cold here in utah...which leaves me wishing i were back home in the 77 degree balmy-ness of southern california. we've got frozen snow all over the place here and i keep wishing it would melt.

in the meantime, i wanted to share my preferred kind of snow: paper snowflakes! a much warmer, better, more colorful way to celebrate winter? yes please!

the snowflakes were designed by tiffany at simply modern mom; you can find easy-to-follow tutorials for the three different snowflakes here.

and, while we're at it, did you see this amazing paper snowflake curtain featured on paper and stitch? SO amazing -- and looks pretty simple to make, once you master a few tricks.

who says january has to be a dreary month? make some snowflakes and cheer yourself up :)
