on the street: queen bee market

*don't forget to enter my blogher giveaway -- entries close on friday!

while i was in san diego, i went to the queen bee market. this is a san diego-based craft fair with the CUTEST handmade things -- i couldn't believe all the awesome vendors they rounded up! mique (from 30 handmade days) and jess (from allora handmade) are ridiculously talented themselves AND the brains behind queen bee -- it was so fun to meet them and check out the best of southern california's handmade industry.

and, of course, my favorite part was the stationery!

the first booth i saw when i walked in the door was for red star ink. i LOVED everything about it -- the fun booth design, awesome cards, new native summer line of products. love.

i also discovered duck pond paper company. their tag line is "cards too cute to end up in the trash" (lol!) so of course i felt like we were kindred spirits. duck pond specializes in cupcake toppers, card sets, gift tags and more. here's their queen bee booth:

earth cookie creations was another fave. such cute party supplies and cards! this six-shooter card was too cute:

AND, last but not least, i discovered lollipops cards -- fun hand-sewn retro stationery. they also have a great line of monogrammed cards.

if you're in so cal -- be sure to sign up for updates from queen bee market. they have a holiday 2011 show coming up and you won't want to miss it!
