my favorites: jetpens

i received product to facilitate this review, but all opinions are 100% mine.

there's nothing quite like a good pen. my penmanship looks cleaner, my lettering looks prettier and, let's be honest, it's just more fun to write with a pen you love. however, i usually end up grabbing some random pen that came home with us from a hotel stay or a lame ballpoint pen i bought at target -- those just don't cut it for me.

that's why i was so thrilled to discover jetpens, an online-only store full of high-quality writing instruments & stationery supplies. most of their products are imported from japan and germany, so they're hard to find anywhere else (and they're awesome!!).

the pen selection is to die for -- just about every color of pen and type of writing instrument you can think of (the gel pens are my weakness) -- but they've got pencils, calligraphy supplies, office supplies, pencil cases, notebooks, washi tape...lots of fun stuff to peruse. you get free shipping on orders over $25 and i think it would be verrrryyy easy to fill up a qualifying cart.

i got to try out a handful of gel pens and they're on permanent rotation now -- even my grocery list is pretty when i write with these! i think the metallic gold is my favorite. here's a little test run of some of the pens -- putting my new hand-lettering skills to good use!

even the littlest writer in my home couldn't resist trying them out for his letter practice. :)

the jetpens blog is also a treasure trove of cool articles, from a guide to choosing a brush pen for calligraphy to a guide to choosing white gel ink pens and markers.

huge thank you to jetpens for letting me play around with these fine pens -- i highly recommend checking out their site. be sure to follow along on instagram and facebook for even more pretty pen inspiration.
